WTF Montreal?

I woke up this morning and went straight to the internet to check the score of the game last night. Of course, I was thrilled to see we won.

Then I got to work and heard about what happened after the game.

WHAT IS UP with our city and the rioting? Very sad.

For the last few months I've been boasting to all the people here about what a great city I live in.

I'm ashamed.

i hear you it's ridiculous but the real sad part of it is that we all knew it would happen and couldn't prevent it. another sad part is that it's the 1st round of the playoffs!

As I said on Angry Gnome's Blog (http://angrygnomertwo.blogspot.com/) in reply to her post on the Habs...

"That "wave of enthusiasm " you speak of is seriously beginning to piss me off. Not to mention the countless sleepless nights it's inducing.

Look I'm not saying you shouldn't support the home team, and I actually hope they win, but if it means that night after night, in the coming weeks that their winning OR losing will cause countless numbers of total asstard nimrods to honk their horns and scream their lame-asses off WELL AFTER midnight, well, then, I'm gonna get me a gun and start picking them off from my rooftop.

Go Habs Go!"

I'm all for supporting the home team, but I'm also MORE in favour of 'thinning the herd'... if you catch my drift..

...anyhoo glad to hear you're alive and not in a gutter somewhere in Dublin with empty Guinness pints scattered all 'round! ;-)

So how was God's Country? Gonna blog on your Irish Escapades? I wanna hear all 'bout it...

Kitty, I'm amazed.
...You actually have a - rooftop?
;-)

Kimma, I think that the few that are doing the damage will be taken out of the equation, and although some damage has already been done to the city's rep around the world - that the police will continue to be better prepared for any more of this stuff in the future. Being a fan of the team, I refuse to believe that these idiots are actual hockey fans.

I do indeed... and I'm in the midst of having it reinforced... (I won't say why at this juncture)
